Welcome!... AMITEX Specialises in tanks with high durability and strength

GRP PANEL TANK

GRP Panel Tank are made of Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) which comprises of Glass Fibre, Polyester Resins, Catalyst and Fillers. The material is then fed into Hot Pressed Compression Moulding Hydraulic Presses to manufacture compression moulded Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester (GRP) Panels. The GRP Panels are moulded at a temperature of 150°C and a compressive pressure of 50bar. At this elevated temperature the styrene (Monomer) which is present in the raw material (SMC) gets evaporated thereby making these hot pressed GRP panels highly compatible for storing potable drinking water.

AMITEX is one of the biggest Manufacturer, Supplier and installers of GRP Panel Tanks in India. What is the Use of GRP Panel Tanks?

GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) panel tanks are widely used for the storage of water, chemicals, and other liquids. These tanks are made from reinforced fiberglass, which provides durability, corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand high pressures. Here are some of the key uses and benefits of GRP panel tanks:

1. Water Storage

Potable Water

GRP tanks are commonly used for storing drinking water due to their non-corrosive properties. They are widely used in industries, municipal water systems, and residential complexes.

Rainwater Harvesting

They are often employed in rainwater harvesting systems to store collected water for various uses, such as irrigation and cleaning.

2. Chemical Storage

GRP tanks are resistant to a wide range of chemicals and acids, making them ideal for storing chemicals used in industries like agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.

3. Wastewater Treatment

GRP panel tanks are used in wastewater treatment plants for storing and treating effluents. They can hold both raw and treated water without corroding or reacting with the contents.

4. Fire Protection Systems

In industrial or large-scale commercial buildings, GRP tanks are used as part of fire protection systems to store large volumes of water for fire suppression.

5. Oil and Fuel Storage

Due to their high resistance to corrosion, GRP tanks are used to store oils, fuels, and other petroleum products, especially in environments where the tanks are exposed to harsh conditions.

6. Food and Beverage Industry

GRP tanks are also used for storing liquids in the food and beverage industry, such as water, juices, and syrups, because they do not impart any taste or odor to the liquid.

Key Advantages of GRP Panel Tanks:

  • Corrosion Resistance: They are resistant to corrosion from chemicals, salts, and moisture, unlike traditional metal tanks.
  • Customization: GRP panel tanks are modular and can be customized in terms of size and shape to suit specific needs.
  • Lightweight: They are lighter than steel or concrete tanks, making them easier to transport and install.
  • Cost-Effective: They often offer a more affordable solution compared to stainless steel or concrete tanks.
  • Durability: GRP tanks can last for decades with minimal maintenance.

Common Applications:

  • Industrial Use: Manufacturing plants, chemical factories, power stations, etc.
  • Municipal Use: Public water systems, sewage treatment plants, fire protection.
  • Residential Use: Large-scale apartment complexes, villas, or individual homes needing water storage solutions.
